Technical Journal
Well, this will be a short journal entry from the SysAdmin logs. Of course, whenever I say that I usually find enough to ramble on, much, I am sure, to your chagrin. Anywho, I am gaming on the Playstation Portable this week and working from the MacBook Pro. My 7" USB sub-monitor came in this week. Probably the most exciting thing going on in the 'WERKz is my planning for my week away vice my current project load.
Next week I will be gone and attempting to survive on just my Fujitsu U820 and my Palm Pre. OK; I'll have more gadgets than that. But my point is I will not have a full laptop or my Windows Mobile phone for a week. One thing that will make that effort more enjoyable will be having the USB monitor along for the ride. I also will be trying to install a game or two on the Fujitsu U820 to do some UMPC game-testing. Hopefully, this week, I will actually be able to game on my away-PC, unlike my week of travel last week.
Over on CAG, we are prepping for our end of the year PodCast. A year of gaming (in my case, not a lot), a year of tech, a year of who knows what. We'll be putting a bow on 2009 and putting it to bed, while concurrently getting our various gaming rigs warmed up for 2010.
On the PSP, I have been entering my 2nd foray into Field Commander. It is one of the more fun games on the PSP, although I got my butt kicked on the graduation training exercise. So more work for me to do there.
On the reading front, I am into the second 100-pages of Assassin's Apprentice. This is one I am reading in print.
Regrets there is not much going on in the 'WERKz, but, hey...it is the holidays. Merry last week-and-a-half at work to all!
