24 November. This is the last time the release date for Gran Turismo will be moved. It has been done too many times in the past. No more. But...do I really care?

This is becoming a tough call. I have paid up all but $13 of my GameStop pre-order for this title. But...Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is getting good pre-launch reviews, including perfect scores from Joystiq, GamesRadar, and PTOM (formerly PSM). So I have one game that I have a love-hate relationship with which claims it now has an official release date (GT5), and a series who has never failed me (Hot Pursuit, not all of the NFS series), is getting solid reviews, and, to date, has not given me a reason to believe it won't ship on time.

This may get superseded by my plans for a basement PS3 anyway. I have that targeted for the week after T-day using the store credit from selling back my XBox 360 gear, and I am thinking I will pick up whichever of these two games I go with at the same time. So if GT5 is out by then and has decent reviews, it may not get scooped by NFS: HP. Awwww...who am I kidding? I just need to find a way to buy both. I can spend a lot of sleepless nights playing two hot racing titles over the holidays.
